ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Ponce on the southern coast of the island of Puerto Rico.  In 1968 I received my first radios as a child, and that was it.  At age 13 I managed to complete a course in Electronics Technician from LaSalle Extension University, grandma paid for it, and I needed a dictionary next to me.  At age 17 I was operating radars of multiple uses in central Europe.  Along came the sensors that could be monitored from wordlwide locations via satellite and the point to point communicactions using time division multiplexing and frequency division multiplexing, it was a lot of fun.  All along I have been an active Amateur Operator and have had the opportunity of being on the far end of DX.  I have operated from Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Northern Africa and the sub Saharan Desert as well as United Arab Emirates.  I was away from home for 22 years.  I returned in 1995 and I am still working as an associated professor on pharmacy programs at the Interamerican University Arecibo Campus, PR.  73's          Al
